I don't really know what to call the things that I work on, but it is obvious to me that they are born of some chaos. The pieces are unplanned or almost entirely unplanned. When I begin a piece I have no idea of the end result will be. I follow clues in my surroundings or in my own feelings, but the destination is always unknown and as such I can do nothing more that present you with clues outlined with stark black ink, and where you end up while looking at it is for you to determine. I commonly ask people for interpretations of my artwork during the painting process, and am always surprised at the variety of forms that people perceive. Sometimes I work to engage natural forms presenting within a piece from multiple spatial perspectives. I am very much in the beginning of a long journey with this, so bear with me as I learn and experiment.For the time being, I am happy to offer abstract, mountain and in-field expedition art, and design work as well as giclee prints in original sizes on request.
